Sensei Danielle Nakazawa

Sensei Danielle Nakazawa began training in 1988 under Hanshi Don Buck and Sensei Marriette Buck at this same location.  After Hanshi Don Buck’s passing and the eventual retirement of Sensei Marriette Buck, Sensei Danielle took over as head instructor in 2001.  She believes that karate opens up endless potential in its practitioners and is dedicated to sharing her experience and passion of karate to students of all ages.

Sensei Daichi Nakazawa began training under Shihan Gary White in 2002.  He was awarded the rank of Shodan in 2009, and 2 Dan in 2015.  He also started studying Okinawa Kenpo Karate recently.

Senpai Derek Jolin

Senpai Derek Jolin currently is not local enough to attend class regularly.  He still makes it out whenever possible.  His present and past support of the dojo has left a positive imprint.

Senpai Rachel Koenigsberg

Senpai Rachel has been practicing under Sensei Danielle for about 9 years.  She is hardworking and a great role model for younger students.

Outside the dojo, she is currently a junior in high school and an accomplished swimmer.  She has been swimming for Las Trampas swim team for 13 years and coaching for 3 years.  She is also on her high school swim and water polo teams.
